COP26.

Insulation Merchant's parent company, Ultimate Insulation Supplies, are partners in the construction of the COP26 House developed by Beyond Zero Homes. The timber frame COP26 House showcases zero-carbon, circular solutions in building, and living, using standard materials and skills available today and will be showcased at the 2021 UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow.

The future of the COP26 house.

After COP26 has ended, the house will dismantled back into its pre-fabricated 1.2 metre grid and transported to Aviemore to form the start of a sustainable and affordable 12 home development. The houses are designed to use homegrown C16 spruce, to avoid the need for imported timber. Key to the design of the house is that it can be easily dismantled at the end of it's life, for re-use of materials or recycling.
