Reflectashield® is a high-performance breather membrane specifically designed to enhance the thermal performance of timber and steel frame structures.
Reflectashield® reduces the thermal transmittance (U-value) of walls by introducing a reflective surface in the cavity between the frame and outer cladding, thereby inhibiting radiant heat transfer across the cavity.
As the membrane's breathability is not compromised by its thermal properties, Reflectashield® continues to act effectively to minimise the risk of condensation.
On completion, breather membranes help assist the diffusion of moisture from the building and reduce the condensation risk. Combining the proven benefits of a breather membrane and adding a low-emissivity reflective surface helps reduce heat loss through the cavity wall system.
