A flexible thermal insulation ‘batt’ made from UK crops.

IndiTherm® can be friction fit between structural framing or against masonry - with excellent rigidity to resist slumping.

Healthy and soft to the touch for installers. Very large carbon savings - net negative embodied carbon. Building occupants will benefit from the exceptional thermal and moisture buffering properties of this sustainable material. It has the added property of low-density heat storage, which means indoor temperatures stay warm in winter and cool in summer. Durability tested.

Hemp Fibre: 90%
Polyester (PES) Binder*: 9%
Fire Retardent (Ammonium Salts): <1%

Application

Installation:

Refer to the installation guide for recommendations. Friction fit between structural framing or against masonry. Best cut with ‘wavy’ insulation blades – available as handsaws or powered dual-blade reciprocating saws. Our team is happy to advise.

Environmental impacts:

IndiTherm® has net storage of carbon.
It reduces waste because it can be reused at the end of life or offcuts can be shredded and made into more of the same product. IndiNature also makes a biodegradable product called IndiTherm® Bio.

I purchased the IndiNature IndiHemp batts 100mm x 370mm to install between loft joists. They are easy to cut with a Bacho Profcut Insulation saw and they fit nice and snug between the joists. Two reasons the IndiHemp batts are great 1. No itchy fibres so cutting and handling is pleasant unlike mineral/glass wool. 2. It's a UK made carbon negative product, and about as environmentally sound as you can get.Ordering was easy and delivery arrived in two days.
